Prince Harry headed to Nottingham today as he gets stuck into engagements on his four-day trip to the UK. Harry, who stepped back as a working royal in 2020, attended the annual Wellchild Awards in London on Monday evening, and today, he arrived in Nottingham to loud cheers from the public, to show his support for BBC Children in Need.
He returned to a community recording studio, which he last visited in October 2019 - just two months before he and the Duchess of Sussex announced they were stepping down as senior working royals and moving to North America. While there, Harry is set to carry out a number of engagements and make a substantial donation to the broadcaster's charity to help support its work tackling violence affecting young people.

It comes after he made a jibe about the "challenges" of sibling relationships last night. Speaking to Declan Bitmead, 17, one of the WellChild Award winners last night, he asked if he had siblings and the teenager replied he had a younger brother. "Does he drive you mad?" asked the duke, and Declan replied "no, we get on fine" - and Harry quipped with a smile "you know what - siblings". When told the 17-year-old, from Oxted in Surrey, and his brother went to the same school, the duke said "you're at the same school, that sometimes makes it more challenging".

Elderly couple among those gathered to see Prince Harry
An elderly married couple, Graham and Patricia, who did not wish to give their surname, said they came to see the Duke of Sussex in Nottingham today because they may not get another chance in their lives.
The 82-year-old and 81-year-old set up a chair on the pavement across the road from the Community Recording Studio in St Ann's, Nottingham, to sit on when Harry arrived.
Graham said: "My wife is a fan, she always has been. She just wanted to come down and see him.
"We're getting old now, we may never get the chance again. Who knows what's going to happen in the future?"
Patricia, who said she has been a fan of Harry since he was born, said: "We liked Charles and Diana, and then they had children, and you follow them, don't you? I like to see how they grow up."
Harry waved to the crowd of about 100 local people, including a group of young children, and gave a smile and thumbs-up before he went inside the recording studio after he arrived in a single black Range Rover.
Inside the building, he clapped for young artist Paige, 24, who performed a song in a recording studio for him.
The Duke last visited the CRS to mark World Mental Health Day in October 2019, just two months before he and the Duchess of Sussex announced they were stepping down as senior working royals and moving to North America.

Prince Harry's Nottingham visit delayed by Tube strike
Prince Harry was 45 minutes late for his arrival at the Community Recording Studio in Nottingham.
The Duke of Sussex had to travel from London to Nottingham to visit the charity, which he is very close to.
The charity, based in St Anns, teaches film and video skills as well as music, giving youngsters access to professional equipment and key industry contacts, including musicians like Estelle and Aloe Blacc.
Harry no longer has the benefits of his official public duties since he stepped down as a working member of the royal family, including police vehicles to escort him through traffic.
The prince looked cool in a grey blazer and beamed as he waved to the cameras before heading into the building.
He is set to catch up with young people he has met before, watch performances from CRS artists and give a speech.
The Duke is also expected to make a substantial donation to the BBC's Children In Need, which is also helping with CRS's programme, to help support its work tackling violence affecting young people.

Prince Harry arrives at the Community Recording Studio in Nottingham
The Duke of Sussex has arrived at the Community Recording Studio in Nottingham.
He was met with cheers from members of the public gathered outside.
People shouted "Harry," and one person quipped: "You brought the sunshine with you!"
Prince Harry laughed in response.
The Duke was snapped casually chatting to people before he entered the building.
He looked dapper in a light grey blazer, a crisp white shirt and dark trousers. Harry also sported his signature grey slip-on trainers.
The Duke was 45 minutes late due to the increased traffic in London caused by the recent Tube strikes.

Dozens of people have now gathered outside the Community Recording Studios in Nottingham, awaiting Prince Harry’s arrival.

Prince Harry made a joke about his hair while speaking to seriously ill youngsters at the WellChild awards on Monday evening.
The Duke of Sussex chatted to Declan Bitmead, 17, winner of the inspirational young person 15-18 years award, who has suffered permanent sight impairment and lost 96% of his skin after developing a rare and life-threatening reaction to a common tonsillitis treatment.
Harry joked with the teenager and made him smile, after the schoolboy told him he did not have much sight. Harry said he was lucky not to see him, as he was bald and ginger, and worst of all, I've got a ginger beard—you're thinking, phew."

Prince Harry made a brand new appearance in London on Monday evening and royal fans had one thing to say.
The Duke of Sussex attended the WellChild awards in London on Monday after commemorating the third anniversary of his grandmother's death, Queen Elizabeth II, by laying flowers at her resting place at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle earlier in the day.
In the evening, Harry looked happy as he beamed and waved on his way to the awards, which were held at Royal Lancaster Hotel in the capital.
Royal fans were delighted to see the Duke looking happy on his first day back in the UK, and took to social media to share their views.

Prince Harry lets slip the 'highlight of my year'
In a speech last night, Harry said attending the WellChild Awards is “a highlight of my year” as he marked the 20th anniversary of the prize in London.
Harry, who has been patron of WellChild since 2007, hailed the “courage, resilience of the seriously ill children and the “extraordinary love of the families and carers who never stop showing up”.
Reminiscing the first WellChild awards he attended 18 years ago, the Duke said: “I walked into the room, and within about three minutes I realised two things: the love and energy in the room was palpable, so too was the unpredictability!
“And second, that I was completely hooked on it all. This night has been a highlight of my year ever since and it’s all because of you guys - these children, this cause, and our Wellchild community.”

Prince Harry's awkward comment
Prince Harry discussed the “challenging” relationship between siblings when he spoke to seriously ill youngsters at the 2025 WellChild Awards last night.
The conversation turned to sibling rivalry while chatting to Declan Bitmead, 17 - winner of the inspirational young person 15-18 years award.
Harry quizzed him about family life, asking if he had siblings and the teenager replied he had a younger brother.
"Does he drive you mad?" asked the duke, and Declan replied "no, we get on fine" - and Harry quipped with a smile "you know what - siblings".
When told the 17-year-old, from Oxted in Surrey, and his brother went to the same school, the duke said "you're at the same school, that sometimes makes it more challenging".
In Harry’s memoir Spare, he describes being shunned by his older brother, the Prince of Wales, when he first arrived at Eton.
Recalling the incident in a promotional interview, the prince said: “At the time it hurt. I couldn't make sense of it.”
