Two people are dead and another person suffered life-threatening injuries after possible carbon monoxide poisoning in a home in Maryland.
Prince George’s County Fire officials tweeted Wednesday morning that the incident happened in the 1400 block of South Springfield Road near Danville Road about six miles from Brandywine. When rescuers arrived, they found two people dead, and a third person was rushed to a hospital, officials said.

Fire authorities said in the message that “a generator was found running in the home.”
The incident remains under investigation, officials said, “for a potential carbon monoxide exposure.”
Officials did not immediately identify the two people who died or the person who was injured.
