LABUAN, Oct 11 (Bernama): Some 200 food kits were distributed to less fortunate families in Kg Rancha-Rancha Laut here on Monday (Oct 11), courtesy of oil and gas company Dayang Enterprise Sdn Bhd (Labuan).

       Dayang Enterprise manager Azmir Aman, who presented the food kits to the villagers, said the commitment of the private sector in times of crisis was very important.

       Village head Rosman Hussien said the contribution would greatly help lessen the financial burden of villagers impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, some of whom were currently jobless.

       He said many of the villagers rely on marine catch to earn their living, but had been economically impacted after movement restrictions were enforced following the pandemic. - Bernama
