KARACHI: The Sindh High Court on Monday dismissed the petition of TikToker Hareem Shah against the Federal Investigation Agency for initiating a money laundering inquiry against her.
A two-judge bench headed by Justice Mohammad Iqbal Kalhoro dismissed the petition as despite repeated orders she did not return to the country to join the inquiry.
On Monday, the counsel for the petitioner submitted that his client was offering Umrah.
In February, she had challenged the call-up notice issued on Jan 13 by the FIA asking her to appear on Jan 19 stating that she was living in the United Kingdom and would not be able to reach Pakistan by the given date.
The bench restrained the FIA from taking any coercive action against her and directed her to join the inquiry till March 8.
On the last hearing, the bench again issued the directive for the petitioner and her lawyer assured it that she would return and join the inquiry by April 15.
