KUALA LUMPUR: North America-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers posted US$3.93bil in billings worldwide in November 2021, which is a record, based on a three-month moving average basis.
The Semiconductors Equipment Manufacurers (SEMI) said according to the November Equipment Market Data Subscription (EMDS) Billings Report the billings figure is 5% higher than final October 2021 billings of US$3.74bil and 50.6% higher than November 2020 billings of US$2.61bil.
“Billings of North America-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers extended a robust uptrend to reach another new record in November,” said Ajit Manocha, president and CEO of SEMI.
“Industry performance remains unprecedented despite persistent supply chain challenges.”
