Amid the fallout from the latest No10 party scandal, Mr Johnson's net popularity has now fallen to its lowest in over two years. The poll tracker by Ipsos Mori has now placed the Prime Minister's net favourability at -36 percent. That low number is the same as the former leader of the Opposition before the 2019 general election - one of the worst Labour has ever suffered.

       In May 2021, the Prime Minister's net favourability hit 0 percent as the UK's vaccine rollout pushed up support for Mr Johnson.

       Since then, however, his net favourability has plummeted amid a series of scandals involving alleged parties held in 2020.

       The poll also tracks Sir Keir Starmer, Priti Patel, Rishi Sunak and Sajid Javid.

       Mr Sunak has slipped to -6, the Health Secretary -13, the Labour leader -18 while Ms Patel stands at -37.

       The Prime Minister was forced to apologise on Wednesday for attending a party on May 20, 2020.

       Despite previously refusing to comment ahead of Sue Gray's inquiry, following increased pressure, the Prime Minister said he must take responsibility for the mistake.

       He said: "I know the rage they feel with me and with the Government I lead when they think in Downing Street itself the rules are not being properly followed by the people who make the rules.

       "I believed implicitly that this was a work event.

       "With hindsight I should have sent everyone back inside.

       "I should have found some other way to thank them.

       "I should have recognised that even if it could be said technically to fall within the guidance, there are millions and millions of people who simply would not see it that way, people who have suffered terribly, people who were forbidden for meeting loved ones at all inside or outside, and to them and to this House I offer my heartfelt apologies."

       The party was held on May 20 and was organised by the Prime Minister's principal private secretary, Martin Reynolds.

       Mr Reynold's email was sent to up to 100 colleagues and invited them to "bring your own booze".

       At the time of the event, Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden told the nation: "You can spend time outdoors and exercise as often as you like, and you can meet one person from outside your household in an outdoor public place provided you stay two metres apart."

       Civil servant Sue Gray is investigating the aforementioned party and a separate event on May 15, 2020.

       There have also been allegations that a gathering was held in the Prime Minister's flat on November 13.

       Three further events on November 27, December 15, 16, and 18, were also allegedly held at No10.

       The poll asked 1,140 people and was conducted between January 7-10.
