PETALING JAYA: Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has conveyed his well wishes for Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (pic) following the former prime minister’s admission to the National Heart Institute (IJN) on Friday (Jan 7).
"Let us come together and pray that Tun Dr Mahathir be granted a speedy recovery and may his treatment progress smoothly,” said Wee in a Facebook post.
On Friday, the IJN said in a brief statement that the Langkawi MP was admitted yesterday for an elective medical procedure.
“Due to current standard operating procedures, no visitors are allowed,” the statement added.
It did not disclose the medical procedure or when it would be carried out.
Dr Mahathir was Malaysia's prime minister twice - for 22 years from 1981 to 2003 and for 22 months from 2018 to 2020.
