A 45-YEAR-old farmer was brutally killed when a fellow villager ran him over with a tractor, Malaysia Nanban reported.
Both men, identified only as Ramadass and Sridar, had apparently been feuding over a piece of land in Kadalur, Tamil Nadu.
A few days ago, Ramadass and his friends were chatting near the village temple in Sakthivilakam when Sridar, his father and another man passed by the area.
The three men apparently told off Ramadass and his friends, saying that they should not be hanging out there and asked them to leave.
Later, Sridar, who was driving by the area in a tractor, was enraged that the group was still there.
He ran over his nemesis Ramadass.
Ramadass died on the spot.
> Dinesh Kaliappan of the Malaysian Indian Youth Council has been given a meritorious service award for his acts of service, Malaysia Nanban also reported.
Dinesh, who is the organisation’s Tambun chapter chairman, had held programmes to provide food packets to 550 Tamil school students from the B40 category.
He was given the award at the organisation’s annual gathering which took place in Ipoh.
