A woman who pranked her grandma by sending her a fake Christmas card from made-up people was shocked when it took a turn.

       Tegan shared the video on TikTok of her nan opening a card that she had written and signed from "Jean and Gordon", but then the video showed that her nan actually believed it was from a Jean she had worked with in the past and even criticised her handwriting, reports the Daily Record.

       Nan June said: "She used to come to the house to cut my hair. She was a hairdresser and her husband died, and then she met this lovely man, and they've had a great time together - been on a cruise."

       As she continued to read the card, it said: "Gordon has had a bad knee over the years, and has had to have a replacement that he had been waiting years for.

       "We've been thinking about you a lot recently, how is [husband] Geoff getting on these days? Always the life and soul of the party."

       Confused by the mention of the name Gordon, June then speculated: "She must have married again, and he died too before she met Gordon." She also critiqued the handwriting again, saying, "Her writing is atrocious - she used to be such a good writer."

       In the video she then hands back the card to her granddaughter, Tegan, the author of the card, who admitted: "You're right, it is bad!"

       The video went viral on TikTok generating over 400,000 views with hundreds of comments, finding the prank hilarious.

       One person commented: "The whole story about Jean is making me scream!" to which Tegan responded: "I didn't even write anything about Jean's dead husband - she just went off on one."

       In the comments, there was even one from Royal Mail's TikTok account. It said: "This is the best one of these vids yet!"

       The video creator then jokingly responded: "She really is, please give her some stamps - she's in turmoil I wasted stamps for this."

       While a TikTok user begged Tegan not to tell her nan, June that it was "a joke card", she later revealed that she knew the truth but added: "I'll do it again for her wedding anniversary or birthday though!"
