An all clear was issued Wednesday afternoon, hours after authorities shut down roads in the area and told people on the facility to shelter in place.
Authorities said they received a call just before 9 a.m. from “an anonymous source stating there is a bomb at or near Building 10,” according to a Twitter alert.
There were no reports of any explosives found. By 1:30 p.m., NSA Bethesda had lifted shelter in place orders at the entire facility.
Patient appointments at the hospital on Wednesday were cancelled, and officials encouraged people to reschedule.
