The squad's charter jet was forced to make an emergency landing in the Scottish capital this morning. The flight carrying the German's national football team declared an emergency mid-air according to FlightRadar.
The flight departed Reykjavik, Iceland after the team won 4-0 in a World Cup qualifying game last night.
Their intended destination was Frankfurt but the plane was forced to divert after the pilot declared an emergency onboard.
Images from FlightRadar show the flight path for the Klasjet flight KLJ2703, and note the diversion made by the pilot.
The map shows the plane making an abrupt turn between Dundee and Arbroath and then rapidly descending.
The plane landed safely at Edinburgh Airport around 4am on September 9.
The official Twitter account for the team referred to the stopover as a "precaution".
The tweet reads: "#infotweet Safety first. Safe stopover as a precaution in Edinburgh. From there, individual onward and return journeys are planned."

At 5.44am they issued an update confirming that everyone on board was safe, and that "a safety check on the machine is running".
The team reassured fans at 8.32am stating that everything was "very calm, calm and professional".
The message was accompanied by an image of a coffee cup, with the full tweet reading: "Time for another coffee. Everything here is very calm, calm and professional. We are still on the plane and will be patient for a while."

A further update issued at 9.24am by the team confirmed that an onward journey for the team was imminent.
It reads: "The replacement pilot is now on the way to Edinburgh to bring the delegation, team, trainer and supervisor to Frankfurt and Munich".
