Partygoers hit the town as the last summer bank holiday weekend began - with streets across UK cities filled with glammed up revellers ready to make the most of their extra day off.

Brits love a boozy bank holiday and partygoers in Birmingham, Leeds and London could not wait to get started.
Ladies in Leeds were out in force dressed in their best outfits, beaming with pals as they made the most of the summer temperatures.

Later in the evening, revellers were spotted munching away on takeaway kebabs after a happy night of boozing.
It comes as Brits woke up to unsettled conditions after the Met Office issued thunderstorm warnings on the first day of the Bank Holiday.

Those attending festivals this weekend will hope that sunny spells win out over scattered showers.
After a brief spell of warm weather, Brits with tickets were hoping they could party in glorious sun and stay clear of camping in muddy damp fields.
Reading, Leeds and Creamfields kicked off yesterday with rain threatening to break out over the long weekend.
It isn't all grey skies though as all three locations are forecast to see some brighter conditions across the next four days.
