Three men were shot early Saturday in the Ballenger Creek area of Frederick County, according to the local sheriff’s office.

       Two of the victims were in stable condition Saturday, authorities said. Another victim was undergoing surgery and his condition wasn’t available, officials said.

       Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of a shooting in progress shortly before 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the 6700 block of Killdeer Court, south of Frederick. They found the three men with gunshot wounds at the location.

       The men were taken to local hospitals, the sheriff’s office said.
