WOKE university bosses have axed part of an Ancient Greek poem mentioning domestic violence — to avoid upsetting students.

Lines from the 2,000-year-old Types of Women were redacted over fears it could “potentially trigger” distress at the University of Reading, Berks.

The poem is controversial due to how it portrays women, saying Greek god Zeus created ten types of women representing animals or an element.

Despite the warning, no student at the University of Reading has complained.

Jeremy Black, professor of history at the University of Exeter, Devon, blasted the move, which followed no complaints.

He added: “It is positively ridiculous and has no place in academia.”
