       KUWAIT CITY, March 9: The Ministry of Interior has announced that, based on the ministry’s strategy to achieve an integrated security system and extending the security cover throughout the country, the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Lieutenant- General Anwar Al-Barjas, has issued directives to the field security sectors to be vigilant all the time to impose the prestige of the law, reports Al-Qabas daily.

       In a statement, Al-Barjas stressed on the need to continue exerting all efforts and in line with the plans developed by the ministry to secure all areas in all governorates in coordination and cooperation with the traffic, operations, public security and criminal security sectors to achieve the desired goals. The Lieutenant-General also stressed on the need to work with a renewed security thought and in a team spirit to implement the tasks entrusted to the security men.

       The sources noted that the directives focused on the importance of field presence at all levels to follow up the progress of security performance and commitment to implementing security plans with precision and perfection, with full commitment to dealing with the public and taking into account the human dimension, while opening channels of communication with them to interact positively and put across the security message. The sources added that Lieutenant- General Al-Barjas said the current stage requires a firm and severe response to the violators because of the danger they pose to society, stressing that preserving the civilized appearance of the country is a goal that must be translated on the ground by confronting any negative phenomena or legal violations that endanger the lives of citizens and residents. The sources quoting Lieutenant- General Al-Barjas said he has confidence in his men in security establishment and their abilities to carry out all the tasks entrusted to them with efficiency and competence in all circumstances and called on the citizens and residents to abide by the instructions of the security men, the need to abide by the law, and carry identification papers, in order to avoid legal accountability.
