The husband of murdered MP Jo Cox called for a "consensus against political violence in all forms" after the shooting at a rally for former US president Donald Trump in Pennsylvania.

And her sister Kim Leadbeater, who now represents Batley and Spen, Jo's former constituency for Labour, described the scenes from Pennsylvania as “shocking and disturbing.”

Ms Cox was shot and stabbed to death by right-wing fanatics Thomas Mair on June while campaigning days before the Brexit referendum days later.

He was subsequently convicted of her murder and is currently serving a life-term in prison with a whole-life term, meaning he will never be released.

Mr Trump’s campaign said the presumptive Republican nominee was doing “fine” after being whisked off the stage though the shooting pierced the upper part of his right ear.
