A car owner was dragged into a brick wall when he tried to stop a thief from stealing his vehicle from his drive.

       Home security footage posted on social media showed the thief, wearing a black tracksuit and white trainers, opening the door of the black estate car and getting inside.

       A light appeared at a window from the house before a man ran outside as the thief started to reverse the car out of the drive.

       The owner pulled the car door open before attempting to grab the driver. But he became trapped and was dragged backwards into his garden wall, which collapsed upon impact and nearly ripped the door off of its hinges.

       The thief pulled away as the owner struggled to get to his feet. He eventually hobbled back inside his house, clutching a clearly injured arm.

       The incident took place in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, on Dec 6 at about 7pm, according to The Sun. South Yorkshire Police were contacted for comment.
