The Three Lions secured a spot in the Euro 2020 final with the dramatic 2-1 win at Wembley. England have reached their first final at a major tournament since the 1966 World Cup, also at Wembley Stadium.

       The atmosphere was electric as 60,000 football fans went wild, realising a 55-year dream had become reality.

       “Gareth Southgate and @England, we herald you,” the Duchess of York tweeted.

       “Thank you Denmark for showing wonderful sportsmanship and humility. @ChrisEriksen8, we wish you a speedy recovery…” Ms Ferguson continued.

       Eriksen, 29, suffered a cardiac arrest during Denmark's opening game against Finland.

       The Danish Football Association has said the former Spurs player will be fitted with a heart regulating device and is unlikely to return to football.

       Other Royals also congratulated the Three Lions on their roaring success.

       Prince William, a keen football fan and president of the Football Association, was at the match.
