The Albanian Prime Minister has been pictured wearing a very casual choice of footwear despite the formal nature of the European Summit.

       Edi Rama sported a pair of white trainers that contrasted the formal attire of other attendees at Blenheim Palace.

       Mr Rama is easily spotted in a picture with fellow European leaders at the summit as his white trainers stand out against the dark clothes of the others.

       Standing between Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukrainian President and Sir Keir Starmer the Labour leader can be seen talking to the Albanian Prime Minister.

       Earlier, Mr Starmer, found himself dwarfed by 6ft 7inch Mr Rama at the entrance to the grand Oxfordshire estate.

       The stark height difference between the two leaders is easily noticeable - Starmer is just 5ft 8in, providing a striking visual as Mr Starmer hosted his first international meeting as Prime Minister.

       The pair seemed to warmly embrace each other before heading inside Blenheim Palace.

       Many people took to X (formerly Twitter) to comment on Mr Rama’s very casual white trainers.

       One user said: “Geezer in the white trainers”.

       While another questioned who “was wearing white trainers”.

       Later, Mr Zelenskyy, addressed European allies, insisting their bravery in supporting his nation against Russia's aggression "could be decisive".

       German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, and Italy's PM Giorgia Meloni are among other major figures in attendance.
