AN expecting mum was left heartbroken when her unborn baby died after a hit-and-run smash.
The woman was six months pregnant when tragedy struck and was seriously injured herself.

Police are urging witnesses to come forward after a woman lost her unborn baby in a horror smash
Cops investigating the horror crash in West Bromwich, West Midlands have today issued an appeal for witnesses.
The hit-and-run unfolded at around 7.24pm on February 18 on Hill Top.
Police later arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, however he was released as part of the investigation.
West Midlands Police are now urging any witnesses who may have seen, or have footage of, two cars to come forward.

Pc John Williams, road traffic investigator, today said: “We are appealing for witnesses who may have seen a BMW 1 series car and an Audi TT in the area of Tildasley Street and Old Meeting Street, near Aldi at about 7.22pm on 18 Feb or at the junction of Old Meeting Street and New Swan Street.
"I am interested in hearing from anyone who witnessed the vehicles waiting at the traffic lights, whose attention might have been drawn towards them.
"We would like to hear from people with dashcam footage or anyone with any information to please get in touch."
