KATE, the Duchess of Cambridge’s “courage” and “determination” helped her survive through the breakup with Prince William, according to royal expert Angela Levin. The Duchess “wasn’t very happy” with the split in 2007, so she went about partying with her sister Pippa Middleton. Kate later admitted that the three-month split made her a “stronger person” and helped her realise “things about herself”.

Speaking to GB News, Ms Levin said: “I think that's really important and I remember way back when William dropped her because he was unsure about going out with her for so long and not asking her the question, Will you marry me?.

“And instead of telling her story, instead of you know hiding away, she got some very very nice mini skirts and tops and she went out dancing.

"And I thought that woman yet young woman has got a lot of courage a lot of determination."

She added: "I think that she's used determination as and when she wants to and it's worked absolutely brilliantly she doesn’t complain she doesn't lose her temper.”

In 2007, Prince William decided to break up with Kate due to living apart and due to concerns about his relationship turning similar to Prince Charles and Princess Diana's.

The List narrator Christine Liwag-Dixon said: “The Prince reportedly hoped to avoid a failed marriage like the one between his father and mother and was therefore extra cautious about entering into a serious relationship.

“[Expert] Katie Nicholl added that the Queen and Prince Charles both urged William not to rush into anything.

“Unfortunately, tensions seemed to hit a boiling point when William made a last-minute decision one holiday season and canceled plans to New Year’s with the Middletons.

“Middleton was reportedly left in tears after receiving the phone call about the change in plans.

“Their brief split happened shortly after. Thankfully, the young couple was able to work things out, reportedly, even the Queen was upset by the news of their breakup.”

Prince William and Kate announced their engagement in 2010 and opened up about their split back during their university days back in 2007.

Prince William said: “We were both very young, it was at university and we were sort of both finding ourselves as such and being different characters and stuff.

"It was very much trying to find our own way and when we were growing up and so it was just sort of you know a bit of space and a bit of thing like that and it soon worked out for the better.”

Kate spoke about the repercussions of their split which helped her survive through the difficult time.

She said: “I think I at the time wasn't very happy about it but actually it made me a stronger person, you find out things about yourself that maybe you hadn't realized or I think you can get quite consumed by a relationship when you're younger and you know I really valued that time for me as well although I didn’t think at the time looking back on it.”

The Duchess reportedly moved in with her sister Pippa Middleton in Bucklebury and was spotted partying with her around the town at the bars and the clubs.
