PETALING JAYA: Police here have arrested a 45-year-old man for allegedly breaking his mother's wrist.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said the incident occurred at their home in Pelangi Damansara at about 7pm on Saturday (Oct 16).
"The 73-year-old mother lodged a report on Tuesday (Oct 19) claiming that the suspect had hit her using a wooden stick until her right hand wrist was broken.
"She was treated at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC)," he said when contacted on Thursday (Oct 21).
He added that a police team raided the suspect's home and detained the suspect at about 11.30pm on Tuesday.
