Photos sparked 'feud' between Meghan Markle and Queen Camilla

Camilla delivers speech on domestic violence at WOW festival

Photos released of Meghan Markle reportedly sparked a "feud" with Queen Camilla after the Duchess "refused to listen".

The Duchess of Sussex was pictured during a trip to London's National Theatre in March 2020 as part of her role as patron.

According to reports, she insisted on the photos of her visit being released immediately despite requests to delay them.

The Firm feared the photos would overshadow Queen Camilla's long-planned speech on domestic violence.

But despite requests to halt sharing the images, they were shared on Meghan and Prince Harry's joint Instagram account - which has since been deleted.

Meghan sported a white blouse and pencil skirt as she inspected the venue's Immersive Storytelling Studio.

An insider claimed Meghan was to blame for uploading the photos the same day as Camilla's speech.

They told the Daily Star at the time she was accused of trying to "steal Camilla's limelight" with the now-Queen "very upset". They added that senior royals had also asked Meghan to delay the release so she didn't "overshadow" the then-Princess of Wales, 76, but she "refused to listen".

Royal expert Duncan Larcombe said on Friday that it's understandable why Camilla would have been "miffed" over the photos.
