Rishi Sunak is enjoying a much-needed moment of social media popularity after a clip of him greeting Piers Morgan for an interview was dubbed “the most relatable he's ever been”.
Ahead of an interview with the TalkTV presenter tomorrow, Mr Sunak was filmed greeting his interrogator in Downing Street.
The clip, posted to the Prime Minister’s official Instagram account, sees Mr Sunak open the door only to be confronted by the controversial presenter.
Mr Sunak is seen loudly sighing before exclaiming: “Oh not you again!”
The interview sees the PM upkeep a promise to the former Newspaper editor, who interviewed him for the News UK television channel a year ago and secured a pledge by Mr Sunak to conduct a follow-up quizzing in a year’s time.

Mr Morgan is seen referencing the pledge, telling Mr Sunak: “It’s been a year; you said ‘come back and judge you in a year… here I am”.
The Prime Minister bluntly replied: “Of course you are”.
The deadpan response from Mr Sunak sparked laughter among Twitter users, with many joking the implied criticism of Mr Morgan could spark a Tory poll resurgence.
One joked a future newspaper headline would read: “This was the moment Sunak really turned things around, sweeping to an 800 seat majority”.
