A GOOD samaritan left a note for a motorist after watching a VW driver cause £6,000 worth of damage to a car before fleeing.
The driver of the grey vehicle reversed into the back-right bumper of a Londoner's car - before leaving the scene without leaving any contact details.
But one passerby spotted the crash, and quickly snapped a picture of the car as it fled.
They left a note on the damaged vehicle reading: "We saw a grey Polo reverse into your back right bumper causing damage."
The stranger wrote out the car's number plate and offered the victim their number "if they wished to discuss" what happened.
The note added: "P.s. we have a photo of the car."
The damaged car's owner - who has not been named - shared the note on Twitter, and added the caption: "Dear VW Polo driver who caused £3,000ish damage to my car and drove off, you’re about to get a hell of a shock."
