A Beach Park man was wounded by gunfire early Thursday as he sat in his car in the front of his house, the Lake County sheriff’s office said.
According to authorities, the man was sitting in a car in front of his home in the 10100 block of West Waldo Avenue at about 2:30 a.m. when someone approached the vehicle and fired several shots. The shooter then fled, they said.
The man, 20, was transported to a hospital with what police said was a non-life threatening arm wound.
No one else was hit by gunfire or wounded, according to reports.
An investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division at (847) 377-4000 or Lake County CrimeStoppers at (847) 662-2222.
‘Promises to keep’: Hakim Williams and Deveauntay McNeal are gone. But Cristian Castro and Jamariel Brown intend to sustain Round Lake’s success.
