The Duke of Cambridge launched a new plan as part of the Diana Award to empower young people making change. The Diana Award celebrates young people who aim to improve the lives of others.
In honour of his late mother, the Duke launched Future Forward on Thursday, also marking International Day of Youth.
The initiative was widely praised on social media, with some royal fans comparing the future King’s work to that of Diana’s.
One person tweeted: “Well done to all involved.
“Prince William you have your mother’s compassion, empathy and love of the human race.
“Thank you for continuing her legacy.
“You will one day become a wonderful King. God Bless.”
Another person added: “Absolutely love this! Think it’ll make a big impact and leap in the lives of the youth. Backing it 100 percent."
A third commenter said: “What a wonderful way to honour Diana and help young people.
“Thank you Prince William and Catherine!”
