POLICE investigating the disappearance of Leah Croucher are probing a new image of a "girl in a red blanket" spotted on Google Earth.

The satellite picture appears to show a girl resembling the teenager, who vanished in 2019 aged 19 in Milton Keynes.

Web sleuths say the figure was spotted near a disused barn in Eaton Bray - 18 miles from Milton Keynes - the month after she went missing.

Police searched the large house the barn belongs to and grounds almost two years ago as part of the investigation, MK Citizen reports.

But they are now investigating the Google Earth images as part of Leah's disappearance.

Eaton Bray locals have been baffled for years over why the area was searched by police in the first place.

The home was even taken off the market while cops dug up the grounds but one resident said "nothing seemed to come of the search".

But talk of the search re-surfaced on the Leah Croucher Disappearance - Community Investigation Facebook page this month.

One curious member decided to find the property on Google Earth to see what it looked like but was stunned when she saw the mysterious figure.

She said: "I zoomed in on the house then moved the cursor along to one of the barns next to it. I zoomed in, then zoomed again - and then I couldn't believe my eyes.

"I could see someone in one of the barns, looking out of a big open window. It was clearly a female and looked as though she had a red blanket of jacket round her. She was just sitting there."

The member discovered the Google Earth image was dated March 19 - the month after Leah vanished.

       'SHIVERS'

They added: "The more I looked at the photo, the more it seemed to resemble Leah. The girl looks the same age, she has the same hairline, same eyes and same lovely slightly chubby cheeks.

"It made shivers run down my spine. My heart was beating so fast I thought I'd have a heart attack. Could this be Leah - alive - in March 2019? And if so, how did she get to be in a barn?

"It looks as though she was in hiding or someone had hidden her - but why? The questions were running through my head."

Leah was last seen on February 15 in Milton Keynes as she walked to work in a finance firm.

She told her family the day before she was meeting a friend but that never happened.

       VANISHED INTO THIN AIR

CCTV showed her walking down Buzzacott Lane in Furzton, believed to be in the direction of her work, at about 8.15am the next day.

A huge search was launched with extensive social media appeals and posters pinned up in the area but there have been no confirmed sightings and no leads.

Thames Valley Police said: "Thames Valley Police can confirm it received some images, which are being reviewed by the investigation team into the disappearance of Leah Croucher.

"We would always continue to urge the public to contact Thames Valley Police with any information that may assist the investigation, either by calling 101 or making a report online, or by visiting Milton Keynes police station, quoting reference number 43190049929."
