SHAH Hazvee (pic) revealed that it took 12 takes to shoot the scene where he carried co-star Sophia Albarakbah in their new film Jiwa 8 Belas, reported Utusan Malaysia.
The 28-year-old actor, whose full name is Muhammad Shah Radhi Hazvee, said the scene was especially challenging since he had to also scale a height of 50m.
“When the filming was done (in 2018), I was only 23, and my body was not as fit and muscular.
“Sophia was not heavy. It was just the condition of my body and the bag I was carrying that made the scene tougher.”
Nevertheless, Shah remained professional in portraying his character Ishq.
The action film, co-directed by S. Baldev Singh, Harvinder Singh and Arjinder Singh, opens in cinemas nationwide today.

> A man and his sickly mother have been living in an apartment in Ipoh piled high with years of rubbish and littered with faecal matter, reported Sinar Harian.
Erwan Dahari, 46, who quit his job at a nearby factory to take care of Miram Kadir, 77, said they live off a monthly welfare assistance of RM300 which is not sufficient as their rent was RM250.
Erwan said he had been treated for mental stress and could be categorised as a mentally disabled person while his mother is suffering from dementia.
“We have lived here for seven years. I will take care of her no matter how difficult it gets,” he said from his home in Flat Taman Silibin.
His siblings help clean the house at times while his neighbours provide them with food.
Erwan said he could not manage the cleaning due to his mental health.
> Mohammad Hazim Muhaimin Mohamad was expected to live for only two weeks after his birth but the child, who suffers from a genetic disorder called Cornelia de Lange syndrome, has defied odds to reach 12 years of age, reported Berita Harian.
His mother Zainab Salim, 55, from Kuala Berang, Terengganu, said she is grateful for that despite him relying entirely on special milk and disposable diapers.
“Since birth, Hazim has only drunk this special milk. He needs four or five cans every month, said Zainab, who receives RM150 from the Social Welfare Department each month.
Hazim, who weighed only 1.2kg at birth, is now 6.8kg and is able to say mama, said Zainab.
