HUNDREDS of house hunters have reported "server errors" while using Rightmove.

       The alleged outage has left people unable to search for new properties via the app or website on various browsers.

       The Rightmove website appears to be back up and running, but there are still reports of outages across the UK.

       One person said on Twitter: "Currently unable to access either the app or website on various browsers - is there an issue with the website?"

       While another posted: "Looks like Rightmove has gone down (at least it has for me). This is worse than when Instagram went down."

       And a third commented on social media: "Argh. Rightmove app not working. Website offline.

       "Not the greatest when you're trying to sell and buy."

       A spokesperson for Rightmove said at 9pm on October 18, 2021, the company was aware "a few people have been having a problem" and that it was "working to fix it as soon as possible".

       How can I check if Rightmove is not working?

       Rightmove has a page on its website dedicated to system problems.

       But it has also urged its customers to send a Twitter DM if they are experiencing issues.

       A good place to check if other people are experiencing outages is on social media.

       Websites such as IsItDownRightNow and Updownradar also provide self-reported outages.

       IsItDownRightNow advises that if the site is up but you are still experiencing issues it could be a browser related issue or a Domain Name System (DNS) problem.

       When have there been Rightmove outages before?

       Before the reported outages on October 18 and 19, 2021, some users complained about being unable to access the website in September 2021.

       Some were getting the message "this site cannot be reached" while others got an error message while trying to create an account.
