A Washington man was killed Tuesday night in a car crash in Prince George’s County, Maryland state police said.
James Courtney Jr., 48, was killed about 8:25 p.m. on Branch Avenue at Moores Road in the Brandywine area of the county, police said.

They said he was a passenger in a car that was going north on Branch when it attempted to turn left onto Moores. A car going south on Branch struck the car Courtney was in, and he died at the scene, police said.
Police said the crash remained under investigation.
