KUALA LUMPUR: For the first time in history, the Transport Ministry’s Outstanding Service Award ceremony was held at the Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd (KTMB) station here.
Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, who officiated at the Majlis Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (APC) 2021 and Jasamu Dikenang 2022, said the ceremony was usually held at the Transport Ministry in Putrajaya.
Jointly organised by the ministry, the Railway Asset Corporation (RAC) and Kuantan Port Authority, the ceremony was held to celebrate APC recipients and future retirees.
Themed "A Ride to Remember", attendees at the event had the best and out-of-the-ordinary experience.
“I would like to express my congratulations to the 47 members of the Transport Ministry, RAC and Kuantan Port Authority who will receive the Outstanding Service Award for 2021.
“I hope that all Transport Ministry staff and agencies will always improve their work performance and continue to excel and make the ministry a high-performing organisation in realising Malaysia's dream of becoming a developed and high-income nation.
“Congratulations and appreciation are also extended to the six prospective retirees for the year 2022.
“Thank you so much for the service and devotion that has been poured in.
“Your services are all very meaningful and valuable to the Transport Ministry. Your services will be remembered forever,” he said in a Facebook post on Thursday (March 17).
Also present were Transport Ministry secretary-general Datuk Isham Ishak and deputy secretary-general (policy) Normah Osman.
