KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Digital Economic Corporation (MDEC) has denied offering vacant jobs via Short Message Service (SMS).

       In a statement Monday (May 23), MDEC said it had never made such an offer and reminded the public to be wary when receiving the SMS.

       "We were informed that an SMS has been sent out, purportedly from MDEC, offering vacant jobs to the public. This group is operating without permission and confirmation from MDEC,” it said.

       The statement said members of the public seeking clarification on the matter could contact the MDEC Customer Service (CliC) at clic@mdec.com.my.

       The public can also surf www.mdec.my or MDEC’s official social site if they want to obtain valid information on its programmes, initiatives and job opportunities. - Bernama
