Kemi Badenoch has warned that Britain cannot sustain its current immigration levels, and warned it's time to tell the truth about other cultures and numbers.
In her first major policy speech since winning the Tory leadership election, Ms Badenoch told the audience that it's time to put British citizens first, and accepted that the previous Conservative government "did not deliver”.

She said that while tomorrow's major immigration figure data release will likely show a fall in numbers, thanks to changes made by the previous Tory government, the post-Brexit controls put in place by Boris Johnson are "not working”.
Ms Badenoch warned that numbers are too high, and the west is seeing major problems with trying to integrate migrants from certain cultures.
She warned that Britain will suffer without a shared national identity, which is being weekend by such high levels of immigration, and those same numbers are putting significant pressure on housing, roads and public services.

She said: "We can no longer be naive" and preemptively warned that Labour will try taking credit when tomorrow's figures show a drop in numbers.
Asked why on earth voters should trust her after 14 years of Tory failure, Ms Badenoch said that in order to earn back trust she has to acknowledge why her party got things wrong.
She told GB News: "We are acknowledging today that, while we may have tried we did not deliver.”
"We brought in a points based system, which I thought was going to only allow skilled migrants in, instead it allowed a lot of people at low incomes and with dependents. So we are going to change that.
"We want people to know that we recognise their frustration and in many cases, certainly mine, we share it.”
The Tory leader set out that her approach will see the party set out principles before committing to policies around specific numbers or leaving the ECHR.

Ms Badenoch argued policies must be based on a plan in order to have credibility, though shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp said that leaving the ECHR is on the table as part of the policy review.
Ms Badenoch added that access by immigrants to the welfare system would also come under consideration, arguing it should not be an international welfare system.

It comes just hours after Ms Badenoch called on Keir Starmer to resign during a fiery clash at PMQs.
She blasted Labour for “making everything worse” with its tax and spend plans as she supported a 2.7million-strong petition calling for a general election.
After Sir Keir began asking whether the Tories would reverse his National Insurance hike, Ms Badenoch shot back: “If he wants to know what Conservatives would do, he should resign and find out."
