A woman who gave up her dream job as a flight attendant to work at McDonald's has explained that she did so because she is paid more.
Saffron Laszkowicz told her followers on TikTok she had made the decision because her job at the fast food chain gives her “more free time” to spend with her family and work on herself.
Ms Laszkowicz added she was earning more money “for much less stress” working for McDonald's than she was as a flight attendant for Ryanair.
While the career switch has happened recently, this isn’t Ms. Laszkowicz’s first experience working for the fast food giant.

She explained that her working relationship with McDonald’s began during the Covid-19 pandemic.
She said: “I started working at McDonald’s in December 2020 during Covid, I had nothing to do because we were in lockdown.”
After restrictions were lifted 18 months later, Ms Laszkowicz took the decision to follow her dream and become a flight attendant with Ryanair.
However, during the training period for the role she realised she was making a significant financial sacrifice.

She added: “I realised I wasn’t earning as much as I used to so decided to go back to McDonald’s part-time in October 2022.”
In order to maximise her income, Ms Laszkowicz worked shifts both at McDonald’s and as a flight attendant.
Later, she decided to quit her job with Ryanair because of financial circumstances.
In her latest career update on TikTok, Ms. Laszkowicz said she had worked at three different McDonald’s in the past three years. She joked that she’s “got to laugh or she’ll cry”.
