The British electorate will head to thousands of polling booths dotted around the country later this week and vote in the General Election over who will be their next MP and Prime Minister.
While recent polls have suggested that Labour could win a massive majority nearly five years after they suffered one of their worst electoral defeats, it won’t be until the early hours of July 5 that the UK will know for sure if those polls reflected reality.
As a result, the likes of Rishi Sunak and Sir Keir Starmer are campaigning hard for every last vote in the hope of convincing people they are the right person to lead the country.

Furthermore, with the prospect of a potentially large defeat for the Conservative Party looming, there is still room for the likes of the Liberal Democrats’ Sir Ed Davey and Reform UK’s Nigel Farage to grab a significant number of seats.

In recent weeks, Reform has made up significant ground with Nigel Farage at the helm as it looks to capitalise on the Conservative Party’s loss in popularity with a recent poll suggesting they are making progress.
A poll of 2,012 people conducted exclusively for the Daily Express by Whitestone Insight last week found that the party was up one percentage point in comparison to the week before, taking them up to 21 percent.
In contrast, the Tories had dropped one point to 18 percent, increasing the gap between Mr Sunak and Mr Farage, a long way behind the Labour Party who sit on 38 percent.
Once fed into a seat prediction model created by Electoral Calculus, it shows Labour could be in store for a 244-seat majority over the Lib Dems who, with 72 seats, would become the official opposition.

Speaking to Express.co.uk about the poll results, consultant at Whitestone Insight, Lachlan Rurlander said: "With one week to go until polling day, these results suggest that the job of Leader of the Opposition is all to play for.
"Reform UK have managed to sustain some momentum and have achieved a three-point lead over the Conservatives, despite what has widely been seen as a difficult week for Nigel Farage."
