Three masked thieves grabbed merchandise from jewelry merchants following a private showing at a Naperville hotel Saturday night, according to police reports.
The merchants were leaving the Marriott Hotel, 1801 N. Naper Blvd., just before 11 p.m. when they were approached by three masked men wearing dark clothing and gloves in the parking lot, police said.
After a brief struggle with one of the merchants, the thieves grabbed the cases and fled in a van occupied by two other men who were also were dressed in dark clothes.
No injuries were reported.
Anyone witnessed or has additional information about the incident is asked to call the Naperville Police Department at 630-420-6665 and ask for the investigations division.
