       TOKYO (Kyodo) -- International Olympic Committee chief Thomas Bach said Friday the Tokyo Olympics represent solidarity, peace and resilience.

       In his speech during the opening ceremony at the National Stadium, Bach said people separated by the coronavirus pandemic are "united" in sharing the Tokyo Olympics.
