KULAI: Ten people escaped unhurt while one person was injured in an accident involving four vehicles at KM32.2 on the south-bound lane of the North-South Expressway (NSE).
The vehicles involved in the incident were a Toyota Vios, Perodua Alza, Perodua Bezza and a Scania lorry.
Kulai Fire and Rescue Department acting chief Bahtiar Selamat said the department received an emergency call at 8.49pm on Sunday (Feb 6).
“Fifteen firefighters from the Kulai Fire and Rescue Department were deployed to the scene,” he said in a statement.
He said one Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) vehicle from Kulai was used in the operation with another FRT and an Emergency Medical Response Service (EMRS) vehicle which were on standby from the Sedenak Toll.
“An adult male in the Toyota Vios was injured in the incident while the two adult females in the vehicle escaped unhurt,” he added.
He said others who escaped unhurt were five people in the Perodua Alza, adding that their details were not available.
Bahtiar said a man and a woman in Perodua Bezza did not suffer any injuries.
“The lorry driver also escaped unhurt,” he said, adding that the injured man was sent to a hospital by a Civil Defence Department ambulance. The operations ended at 9.45pm.
