PETALING JAYA: Flood victims in Ayer Hitam were treated to Ramli burgers by Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong during his visit to his constituency on Thursday (Jan 6).
The Transport Minister said he rushed back to his parliamentary constituency in Johor immediately after completing his work in Kuala Lumpur earlier in the day.
"I rushed back to visit the 53 flood victims from 17 families who were placed at the SMK Yong Peng temporary relocation centre (PPS).
"The PPS has been in operation over the last four days to accommodate flood victims, including 19 children," Dr Wee said in a Facebook post on Thursday (Jan 6).
He said that apart from the usual aid items, he decided to order Ramli burgers to cheer up the victims, particularly the children.
"Apart from this, my service centre had also purchased pillows and hundreds of pieces of clothing for the children, who are also victims of the flood," he added.
Dr Wee, who is also MCA president, said that flood victims at the centre were provided assistance by volunteers from his service centres and other personnel who have been on hand at the PPS over the last four days.
