IPOH: A 22-year-old man suspected of slapping and bullying a 13-year-old disabled boy at the Taiping Lake Gardens has been arrested.

       Taiping OCPD Asst Comm Osman Mamat said the suspect was arrested after a 1min, 20sec video went viral on social media.

       He said the incident happened at about 2am on Saturday (May 7).

       “The victim was riding his bicycle alone when the suspect wanted to borrow it.

       “When the victim refused, the suspect slapped and started to bully him,” he said.

       ACP Osman said the suspect, who is not working, was arrested on the same day at 10.45pm.

       He said the case is being investigated under Sections 323 (for voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (for criminal intimidation) of the Penal Code.

       “The suspect will be remanded until Tuesday (May 10),” he said.
