KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah attended a Family Aidilfitri Celebration of Persatuan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Pahang (Pekap) on Wednesday (June 1).

       Their Majesties spent almost two hours at the ceremony, held at Dewan Perdana Felda, here to mingle with the children of Pahang who were present from all over the state.

       His Majesty also presented financial contributions from the first collaboration between the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP) and Pekap to 28 asnaf of Pahang Federal Territory children.

       Through the cooperation, Pekap was entrusted by MAIWP to deliver a contribution of RM260,100 to the asnaf children of Pahang in the Federal Territory.

       The celebration was attended by about 2,000 guests including Deputy Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ismail Abd Muttalib who is the Member of Parliament for Maran and singer Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza. - Bernama
