SEREMBAN: Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun has tested positive for Covid-19, his office said in a statement Thursday (Feb 24).

       Aminuddin, who has had his Covid-19 vaccine booster shot, will undergo isolation as per health procedures.

       "The Mentri Besar regularly takes the RT-PCR test as well as self-tests.

       "The last time he did an RTK Antigen test was on Monday (Feb 21) and the result had returned negative," it said.

       Despite being in isolation, Aminuddin will continue to carry out tasks that are suitable, the statement added.

       The number of cases in the state has also been on the rise with 1,998 cases reported Wednesday (Feb 23).

       In total, 138,562 Covid-19 cases and 1,355 deaths have been reported in Negri Sembilan since the start of the pandemic.
