PETALING JAYA: Popular singer and composer Datuk M. Nasir revealed that he has tested positive for Covid-19 and is now undergoing self-quarantine at his residence along with his wife.
His wife Datin Marlia Musa confirmed the situation after both of them went to do their PCR test yesterday morning, where it was found that the singer had tested positive.
“He tested himself using the rapid test kit on the Sunday morning before he went out for a programme in the afternoon. Unfortunately, the test results showed that he was positive.
“We went straight to the clinic after and the results remained the same,” reported mStar, the Malay-language portal of Star Media Group.
In the meantime, the couple is staying at home and have to go through the quarantine process.
Marlia said Nasir is doing well.
“Alhamdulillah, his condition is good and he is resting. Let’s pray for his recovery soon and we thank everyone who prayed for us,” she added.
M. Nasir performed during the 31st Malaysia Film Festival last Friday.
