THE sister of Emiliano Sala shared a heartbreaking poem about ''loss''on her social media, just days before she ''tried taking her own life.''

Romina Sala, 29, is reportedly fighting for her life in a hospital in Santa Fe after she was rushed into emergency care on Tuesday.

According to TN Deportivo the 29-year-old attempted to take her own life two years after her brother's tragic death.

Sources told La Nacion she remains in critical condition after she was found unconscious at her home.

Just a few days earlier posted on her Instagram account a heartbreaking poem about pain called ''Curame'' (Cure me).

''Nobody sees everything you have been through. Just your last reaction.

''So excessive. So out of place. So violent. Irrational.

''A ball full of emotions and feelings that came together and exploded into something very different from what they were originally,'' the poem starts.

Romina lost her brother in a plane crash in January 2019, shortly after he had signed for Championship club Cardiff City.

Emiliano was on his way to the Welsh capital from previous club Nantes when the single-engine Piper Malibu plane he was in crashed off the coast of Guernsey.

His body was eventually discovered but the pilot, David Ibbotson, 59, from Crowle, Lincolnshire has not been found.

According to report by the Air Accidents Investigation Branch the aircraft carrying Sala and Mr Ibbotson suffered an in-flight break-up while being flown too fast for its design limits.

The report also found the pilot lost control while attempting to avoid bad weather and concluded that Mr Ibbotson was probably affected by carbon monoxide poisoning.

Investigators found that a contributory factor in the crash was Mr Ibbotson having no training in night flying, and a lack of recent practice in relying only on cockpit instruments to control a plane.

They also found that he held a private pilot's licence that did not allow him to conduct flights for reward.

David Henderson, who is alleged to have arranged the flight, is due to stand trial in October. He denies any wrongdoing.

A full inquest into Sala's death is not expected to be held until 2022.

On the second anniversary of the fatal air crash, Sala's family demanded to know "the full truth" about his death.

The family's lawyer called for a formal inquest to be held in a statement to mark the second anniversary of the fatal air crash.

In March of this year, the family launched legal action against 13 parties, including Cardiff and his former French club FC Nantes which sold him for £15million.

Ex-Man United star Fabio revealed he spoke to Sala on the afternoon of his tragic death, being one of the last people to text him.

Fabio said at the time: "In the afternoon he was going to take the plane, he asked me so many things about Cardiff, because he knew I had played there.
