THE mum of a little boy found dead in a river gagged and wept in court today as jurors were told of the youngster's horrific injuries.
Logan Mwangi, five, had suffered wounds similar to those seen in victims of high-speed car crashes before his death, it was heard.

As well as dozens of bruises and grazes across his body, his liver and small bowel had been torn and he'd sustained "very traumatic" damage to his brain.
He also had an injury to part of his small intestine that has been "commonly recorded in abused children" - but is otherwise rare, it was said.
Logan's mother Angharad Williamson, 30, who is accused of his murder, began retching as the full extent of her son's injuries were revealed at Cardiff Crown Court.
Prosecutors allege she, partner John Cole, 40, and a youth who cannot be named, killed the schoolboy before dumping his body like "fly-tipped rubbish" in the River Ogmore near Pandy Park in Bridgend.

All three deny the charge.
This morning, jurors were warned evidence from pathologist Dr John Williams would be "difficult to listen to".
The medic discovered 56 external injuries on Logan's body in total, including "extensive" bruising to his head and scalp.
A post-mortem examination found Logan's brain had swollen and bled.

Such injuries would be expected in someone who had fallen from a great height, Dr Williams said.
Logan likely survived for up to two days after the injuries to his brain were inflicted, it was heard.
However, he eventually succumbed, with the cause of death given as blunt force abdominal and cerebral injury.
There was also evidence his collar bone had been broken weeks before he died.
Williamson called 999 at 5.46am on August 31 last year to report her son missing.

Prosecutors allege she was "playing the part of a distraught mother to the full extent of her acting abilities".
The defendants are also accused of perverting the course of justice by moving Logan's body, removing his clothing, washing bloodstained bed linen and making a false report to police.
Williamson, of Lower Llansantffraid, Sarn, Bridgend , and the youth pleaded not guilty to both offences.
Cole, of Maesglas, Ynysawdre, Bridgend, has denied murder but admitted perverting the course of justice.
