KUALA LUMPUR: Standard Chartered Malaysia (StanChart) has appointed Samuel Ding as Head of Transaction Banking, the bank said in a statement today.

       The statement said Ding, a financial services professional with close to 20 years of experience, started his banking career with StanChart in 2005.

       Prior to re-joining the bank, Ding held various senior positions with CIMB and BNP Paribas Malaysia.

       StanChart managing director and chief executive officer Abrar A. Anwar said Ding's appointment comes at a time of great opportunity when the bank is at the forefront of innovating and transforming its product propositions.

       Meanwhile, Ding said he is looking forward to leading and being part of an extraordinary international bank with a rich history of more than 160 years.
