KEPALA BATAS: Police are tracking down a man who is believed to have splashed red paint on several vehicles and houses in Taman Kuala Bekah, Penaga here.

       Seberang Perai Utara police chief Asst Comm Mohd Asri Shafie said so far, they have received four police reports on the incident.

       "The reports involved four cars and four houses splashed with red paint.

       "Based on the closed-circuit television recording, the incident occurred at about 4.30am on Thursday (Dec 28),” he said when contacted on Friday (Dec 29).

       ACP Mohd Asri said initial investigations showed one of the four complainants had obtained a loan online via Facebook in early November.

       He said the person claimed that he had repaid the loan but was still being harassed by the moneylender for additional payments.

       ACP Mohd Asri sought the cooperation of the public to channel any information regarding the incident to investigating officer Sgt Mohamad Azhar Abd Sukor or Sgt Norlida Bidrus at 04-567 2222 or 04-323 2422 to assist in the investigation.
