PUTRAJAYA: The parliamentary Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is set to meet on July 26.
Its chairman Wong Kah Woh (pic) said the meeting will be held “physically” involving all PAC members as well as ex-officio members of the committee at 2pm that day.
"The PAC upholds the Yang di-Pertuan Agong's view in a media statement on June 28 calling for parliamentary select committees to convene and function as a check and balance mechanism to the government.
"As the chairman of the 14th Parliamentary PAC, I have called for the PAC to meet on Monday, July 26.
"A letter informing the date of the meeting has been sent to Dewan Rakyat Speaker Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun.
"This meeting will discuss the schedule of upcoming PAC meetings, especially on those involving postponed cases," Wong said in a statement Friday (July 2).
The Ipoh Timur MP said the committee is also open to conducting a hybrid meeting if it does not go against the Dewan Rakyat meeting rules.
