Eight localities in Pahang and Sabah under EMCO from Sept 4-17

       PUTRAJAYA: A total of eight localities in Pahang and Sabah will be placed under the enhanced movement control order (MCO) effective Sept 4.

       Six of the localities are in Pahang, including three in Temerloh - Kampung Kuala Terbol, Kampung Pian and Kampung Lubok Wang.

       In Kuantan, the lockdown will be placed on the Penor Prison and at Pinggiran Goh.

       The National Security Council (NSC) said the area of Sempalit in Gali sub-district in Raub will also be placed under the order.

       In Sabah, the order will affect residents of Taman Keramat and Angkasa Apartment in Kota Kinabalu.

       "These areas will be under enhanced MCO for 14 days until Sept 17," said the NSC in a statement on Thursday (Sept 2).

       The council also announced the extension of the enhanced MCO at two Orang Asli villages located at Pos Blau in Gua Musang, Kelantan, namely Kampung Batang and Kampung Blau.

       The lockdown placed on Bentong Prison and its staff quarters will also be extended.

       The extension will take effect until Sept 17.

       The NSC said that 11 localities will have the enhanced MCO lifted.

       This include several areas in Sabah - Ladang Cepat Wawasan 7000 and Ladang Meridian Paitan staff quarters in Beluran, Kampung Baru Pasir Putih and Kampung Wallace Bay in Tawau, Kampung Gambaron 1 and Ribu Bonus plantation in Telupid, University Condominium Apartment 2 and Kepayan affordable housing area and Kampung Pulau Penampang in Kota Kinabalu.
